Vector Bus For Affinity Designer
Galaxy Taxi is a .afdesign vector bus for Affinity Designer. It is inspired by Norman Bel Geddes’s futuristic design, specifically the Motor Car No 8. The clean and basic design is easily adapted with your own style, textures, brushes and colors. Layers, groups and curves are labeled and you get two color variations to start with. Both vectors are in one .afdesign file with a transparent background. Compatible with Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo and Affinity Publisher only. It was not tested in other graphic programs. Galaxy Taxi is part of the Atomic Motorama series.
What’s in the box?
1 AF design ( .afdesign file) with 2 color variations
*Please note – compatible with Affinity only.
Add depth and texture to the bus with brushes, masks, styles and color changes. In this example, I used Frankentoon’s Propaganda Design Kit for Affinity and Pixelbuddha’s Shader Brushes for Affinity.
Norman Bel Geddes
Bel Geddes was one of the first industrial designers in the United States. His Futurama exhibit at the 1939 World’s Fair was a showcase of his optimism and hope for the future. It introduced the idea of automated highways, individual flying machines (think The Jetsons), and cutting edge tech. Visitors to the exhibit rode a conveyor belt that felt like they were flying over a future America. And since America was well into the Great Depression, the exhibit gave the weary visitors a hopeful glimpse in to a utopian future.
